The supplies you need
Before you bring your puppy home, please use this checklist to have the things you need:
1. Premium pet food to get your new puppy off to a great start. We currently feed our puppies Pro Pac Performance Puppy and will be giving you a sample of the food on the day you arrive to pick up your puppy. If we are shipping the puppy to you, then a sample of the food will be attached to the dog crate.

2. Supplements: We highly recommend NuVet Plus (multiple vitamin) You can visit their web site at: www.nuvet.com/45297 or call 800-474-7044 to learn more about these products, but you will need to use our order code #45297 when placing your order. If you sign up for Autoship, you receive an additional 15% off the wholesale price.

3. Non-tip food and water bowls of your choice.
4. Identification tags with your puppy's name, your name, phone number and your veterinarian's name and phone number. A collar and a 6-foot leash that's 1/2 - 3/4 inches wide (we recommend using a "breakaway" collar with plastic clips that will unsnap in case your puppy gets hung up on something).
5. A home and travel crate that will accommodate your puppy's adult size. This crate will serve as your puppy's new "safe haven" at home, and will come in handy when traveling or riding to the veterinarian's office. His scent in the crate will provide comfort and a sense of security during these stressful times. (If we are shipping the puppy to you, a brand new crate is provided to you in the cost of shipping). When shopping for a crate make sure you purchase one large enough for the future. You can insert a box or object in the crate to block off a partial section while the puppy is small, and then you can gradually increase the space as he/she grows. Don't make the mistake of buying several crates.

6. Stain remover for accidental soilings. We highly recommend "Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover".

7. Brushes and combs suited to your puppy's coat: We recommend buying a Slicker Brush, Pin Brush or the latest "Furminator" de-shedding tool, especially if your doodle is kept outdoors.

8. Tearless Puppy Shampoo: We highly recommend "Fresh 'n Clean" brand that you can purchase through catalogs or PetSmart and Petco.

9. High-quality, safe chew toys to ease teething. We highly recommend the Kong Puppy toy. Toys with parts that squeak or whistle can be dangerous if swallowed. A Kong filled with peanut butter or puppy biscuits can keep your puppy busy for hours.
10. Heartworm, flea, tick and parasite controls, if needed in your area. You can get these items from your veterinarian at your first visit. These products need to be age appropriate for your puppy. We highly recommend Frontline Plus, as it kills fleas, ticks, and the eggs. There are also mail order catalogs, farm and home stores, and PetSmart and Petco stores that carry Frontline products.

11. Nail clippers & Quick Stop (Quick Stop prevents nails from bleeding if cut too short).
12. Treats and puppy biscuits. Rawhides make a great chewing toy also, but make sure you buy the correct size for your puppy.
